Your breakfast, lunch, and evening meals are cooked by our family and served in our central open structure positioned over the water. The cuisine emphasizes traditional Sabah cooking methods and fresh marine ingredients gathered from nearby fisherman.

ARRIVAL

Mr. Omar and his family welcomed us like old friends the moment we arrived. The resort is basic in the best possible way: clear Celebes Sea in every direction, starfish visible through the water below, and coral and fish right in front of the chalet for snorkeling. The sunsets from the deck were among the best we have seen anywhere.
A genuine budget gem over the water. The snorkeling directly off the front of the chalet is honestly some of the best I have done anywhere in Malaysia. We saw turtles several times from our room, which came as a pleasant surprise. Staff were helpful and arranged island hopping Package A which I would also recommend.
Came with friends and paid very little for a place that looked like it should cost much more. The sea around the chalet is that clear blue-green color you see in photos. We woke up early to watch the sunrise from the deck and it was completely worth it. The food was simple but satisfying with good seafood options.
Family-run and it shows in the warmth of the service. The owner helped us plan our days and made sure we had everything we needed. Snorkeling is right there in front of the resort, no boat needed, and the water is clear enough to see plenty of marine life. Rooms are basic but the location more than makes up for it.
Came as an Aussie couple and loved the honesty of this place. Yes, the rooms are dated and simple, but the views are extraordinary and the snorkeling out front is genuinely impressive. The food was traditional Malaysian style, plentiful and tasty. The staff were helpful and there was a very easy-going atmosphere throughout.
One of the most memorable stays of our trip. The water all around the chalet is clear and full of life. We chose rooms 11 and 12 after reading about turtles and did indeed see them several times during our two nights. The glass boat rides were a nice addition. Very good value for a water chalet in Semporna.
